AVC: Macmillan fundraising success

Members of Avon Valley College charity group are full of beans - thanks to a rather special coffee morning.

The event raised £250.73 for the charity, double what the school raised last year, and was just one of hundreds held around the country in aid of  Macmillan Cancer- making 30th September the world's biggest coffee morning.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning was organised by the AVC charity committee who held a cake sale for staff and students to raise funds for the cancer charity.

The Year 11 prefects who make up the committee included James Ryan, Chloe Dixon, Sam Hitchen, Kerrianne Shearman, Lauren Frewin Smith, Trinity Rudman and Sophi Tamang.
