Fleas at St Michael's!

At St Michael’s we’ve had the theme of perseverance this week and we have been thinking about challenging ourselves and not limiting our capabilities.

We heard that if fleas are put into a jar with a lid on for three days, they will only jump half the height they are capable of. In that time, they will learn that this is how high they can jump and then – even if you take the lid off – they will only ever jump the height of the jar! Even though they are capable of jumping at least twice as high!

Today we were celebrating those children who have stood out for persevering in school! Who have taken the lid off their jars and are jumping high, achieving what they think they are capable of and MORE!
