Pupils from Durrington Infants School, part of Salisbury Plain Academies, learnt why it’s important to take care of their teeth.
They had a special visit from Zoe French who is a dental nurse at Salisbury District Hospital. She explained to the children why brushing their teeth, eating the right food and visiting the dentist is important.
“Every year we invite Zoe in to talk to the children about their dental hygiene,” said Year 2 teacher, Jodie Scott. “It’s great to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic about wanting to learn about their teeth.”
Zoe bought in a variety of props for the children to try, including a pretend set of teeth, a brush and a pair of dentist's glasses.
“I learnt a lot about my teeth that I didn’t know,” said Year 2 pupil Jacob. The six year old said he enjoyed trying on the dentist's glasses.
