Students from Avon Valley College, part of Salisbury Plain Academies, have been doing their bit for charity recently.
Each tutor group at the secondary school was given a shoe box to fill with Christmas gifts for an adult or child and the 24 boxes were then collected by The Trussell Trust.
Students also raised money for BBC Children in Need. Pupils from all year groups baked or brought cakes into school and some took part in the star baker competition which was won by Dillan Rycroft with his Pudsey cake. More than £80 was raised for the charity.
