About us:

Bulford St Leonard’s CE Primary School is in the village of Bulford, just off the A303, on the edge of Salisbury Plain and is easily accessible from Salisbury, Devizes, Warminster, Marlborough, Andover and surrounding areas. Currently, there are new housing developments in the area as part of the Army rebasing, and the school may grow in the future. We are an incredibly friendly school, with 247 children on roll, including a nursery. The school converted to an academy in July 2016 as part of the Salisbury Plain Academies (Multi Academy Trust).

Our curriculum is broad and is underpinned by our shared values, inclusion and pedagogy, including a focus on developing learning powers to promote lifelong learning. We are a committed team whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. The Friends of Bulford are active, and the local governing body is supportive and appropriately challenging.

Our biggest asset is our children, who are well behaved, eager to learn and a real testament to the school and local community. We believe in enabling our children to shine and we encourage them to do so at all times.

We are proud of our status as a Church school, and work closely with the Diocesan Board of Education.

About us: Salisbury Plain Academies – a multi-academy trust

The school is a valued member of the Salisbury Plain Academies family. Our schools and staff work closely together, supporting each other in the creation of combined educational excellence, as well as providing exciting opportunities to develop leadership.

The Trust is aspirational and intends to establish a hub of excellence on Salisbury Plain, focusing on the continuous professional development of teachers to enable them to teach innovatively and successfully at all levels; working supportively and collaboratively across all our schools and developing leadership in all aspects.

We are looking for a candidate with proven leadership skills, and with the ability to maintain and develop teaching and learning excellence within and beyond our Trust schools.

It would be a pleasure to show you around and to talk with you about the exciting potential of leading this school. Bulford has a really wonderful staff team and the children are a delight.
