Grade H15 – H17 £24,313 - £26,317 pro rata per annum (actual salary £12663 - £13,707)

Hours of work:

22.50 hours per week over 3 days term time only – to include TD days. There can be some l flexibility with working patterns but must suit the needs of the role and schools.

This role is to work with families of 3 schools,

St Michael’s Primary School, The Causeway, Larkhill, Wiltshire, SP4 8FB

Bulford St Leonard’s Primary School, John French Way, Bulford, Wiltshire, SP4 9H

Netheravon All Saints Primary School, High St, Netheravon, Salisbury SP4 9PJ

This is a temporary one-year contract

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced person to work across three of our schools as Family Outreach and Attendance Worker to support the thousands of families that will relocate to the Salisbury Plain Area over the next two years. This is a temporary one-year contract that has been funded through the Armed Forces Education Trust.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have had extensive experience of working within Her Majesty’s Forces (HMF) welfare environment – either in schools or with welfare offices/welfare organisations. We are keen to ensure that these families feel welcome and the transition of children into our schools is effective, this would be a key aspect of this role

The successful candidate will be a key member of Salisbury Plain Academies and will be willing to meet new challenges and drive forward improvements.

We are looking for someone who is able to:

  • Target and improve attendance and parental engagement with school and learning.

  • Work with parents to Improve attendance and pupil outcomes

  • Engage with HMF parents with homework activities and reading to enhance positive engagement and attainment

  • Support parents to deal with pupil well-being through organising, delivering or signposting to parent support opportunities

  • Engage with supportive organisations to seek out and implement already established best practice

The following impact will be required from the role of the FOAW:

  • Good attendance for all HMF pupils (in line/above National)

  • Low incidents of exclusion

  • Low % of persistent absentees

  • Parental surveys that demonstrate transition is effective, and families feel well supported

  • HMF parental engagement with parent support networks within and beyond school

  • Promotion and appreciation of the diversity of cultures within our schools

  • Awareness and sharing of best practice that already exists to support our HMF families

  • Close liaison with our Reading champions and SEN/Inclusion leads to support ‘joined up’ approaches

Salisbury Plain Academies Trust Finance Manager

Required as soon as possible

Qualified salary range: Grade K (SCP 24 – 26 £32,039 to £33,799),

Unqualified salary range: Grade I (SCP 18 – 20 £26,999 to £28,785

Hours of work: This role is offered as a full-time position (37 hours per week with 25 days of annual leave) although applications from candidates for less hours and/ or flexibility regarding work during school holidays are also welcome (please stipulate on application.

We are seeking a Trust Finance Manager who is highly motivated, efficient and enthusiastic to work within our Multi Academy Trust providing excellent financial support to our schools. The main purpose of the role is to manage the finance function of the Multi Academy Trust, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of a professional finance function and to support the Director of Business and Finance in providing accurate and timely information

You will be responsible for the accounting processes and also to be the administrator for our Finance system. You will be accountable to the Director of Business and Finance and work closely with the Principals and Finance Officers in the Schools.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Central Services team, meeting new challenges and driving forward improvements.

You will need to have:

  • 4 GCSEs Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

  • Possession of, or working towards, a finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or AAT (level 4) (Grade K payable for fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)

  • Previous experience of working within a finance team

  • Previous experience of working in a financial capacity within an educational environment would be advantageous

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role essential

You will also need to:

  • Be friendly with good interpersonal skills

  • Have a positive, professional attitude and an excellent telephone manner

  • Have good organisational skills

  • Be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines

  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative

  • Be passionate about the continual improvement and development of internal financial procedures
