Pembroke Park Primary School Specialist PE Teacher

Start date:               1st September 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter  

Salary:                       Main Pay Range 4  

Hours of work:        Temporary part time 0.66 fte   

Contract Term:        Fixed term temporary contract until 31st August 2020

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher who has the skills and desire to work alongside the Senior Leadership Team in developing and improving the teaching and learning of PE throughout the school.  Pembroke Park Primary School is looking for an individual who is creative and enthusiastic to join this happy and successful school and work within our team.  The successful candidate will be required to teach from Reception through to Year 6.

 We require a teacher who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner;

  • Can demonstrate successful subject leadership;

  • Has evidence of having a measurable impact in their class teacher role;

  • Has relevant teaching experience;

  • Values a teamwork approach;

  • Has high standards and expectations in all areas of school life;

  • Is committed to raising pupil achievement;

  • Has an excellent knowledge of the PE curriculum and assessment systems.

Main Professional Duties:

  • To lead PE throughout the school, including planning, preparation and assessment;

  • Teach Physical Education and Health, Nutrition and Well being sessions across all key stages;

  • Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work and coaching programmes, in accordance with National curriculum requirements;

  • Source opportunities for the children to participate in additional sporting activities beyond the national curriculum;

  • Keep up to date with government initiatives relating to the teaching of Physical Education and Sport and prepare policies as required;

  • Encourage all children to lead a healthy lifestyle;

  • Maintain records to show rates of participation in events/competitions and programmes;

  • To take responsibility for the organisation of after school sports clubs;

Accounting Technician

Start date:                 As soon as possible

Salary:                         H SCP 15 – 17 £24,313 to £26,317 (actual pro rata salary £16,427)

Hours of work:          25 hours per week (flexible approach to term time working)

Location:                     Salisbury Plain Academies Central Office, Durrington, Wiltshire.  

Contract Term:           Permanent

We are seeking an Accounting Technician who is highly motivated, efficient and enthusiastic to work within the Central Finance Team to provide financial support to the schools within our Multi Academy Trust. The main purpose of the role will be to be responsible for the accounting processes and also to be the administrator for our Finance system. You will be accountable to the Director of Business and Finance and work closely with the Finance Officers in the Schools. 

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Central Services team, meeting new challenges and driving forward improvements.

You will need to have:

  • 4 GCSEs Grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

  • Possess AAT Level 4 (or studying toward) with the desire to obtain further skills and training

  • Previous experience of working within a finance team

  • Previous experience of working in a financial capacity within an educational environment would be advantageous

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role essential

You will also need to:

  • Be friendly with good interpersonal skills

  • Have a positive, professional attitude and an excellent telephone manner

  • Have good organisational skills

  • Be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines

  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative

  • Be passionate about the continual improvement and development of internal financial procedures
